Z3 Hardtops difference

Im looking for hardtop for my 2002 M roadster, and I got seller that offers me a hardtop from a 1996 z3 model , so I would to know if there's any difference in the size between the years of the cars.

I would appreciate your comments . Thanks!

You could go to RealOEM.com and enter both models to see if the part number is the same.

I'm pretty sure the top is the same for all years. I had a top on my '98 that I sold to a guy with a later model and it fit perfectly.

There are three types of hard top, as far as I am aware, for the Z3 and they will fit all models.
OEM, Wiesmann and Hamann, the last one being very rare and very expensive.
I am pretty sure that the fitting kits are not universal.
I have a Wiesmann.

OEM hardtops fit all Z3 models ( except coupes, duh!).
Y2K Roadstar, w/60K ( motorcycle)
Y2K Z3, 2.3, w/66K, now 92K in 2-1/2 years
2001 Z3 Coupe, 3.0 w/55K - new for me - WHooHoo
Astro 1990 w/290K

Suck, Bang, Blow, that's what it's all about.
