GPS update?

I've checked the nav wiki about this already and it appears it is no longer supported, but I wanted to ask anyway.

I have a 2003 325 wagon with mkIV (4 1/90) on settings page. My nav disk in the back has a date of 2007 on it. My problem is on numerous occasions we have tried to input destinations (bay area, CA) and it couldn't find them. We have also been led astray a few times by bitchin Betty. Is there a recent update anywhere that would help with this? I saw there was a new disk in 2008...but is that the most recent? Thanks everyone!

Probably have to go with a dynavin or something along those lines. If you need to send your existing nav to someone, I'll take it!

The update you seek is the data disc, not the firmware. Navteq sells the data if you want the latest and greatest. If you can settle for slightly out of date data, I suggest you check eBay. There is also a Yahoo Group where you might look too. Lots of folks get new and sell their old to recover some of the cost.
