The online configurator is known to have bugs and errors in it. Check with your CA whether these options are really incompatible (I doubt it).

First of all, if there is no iDrive, would one still be able to plug a smartphone (i.e. iPhone) in via the USB interface and play music? Has anyone confirmed that it doesn't work?

we needed a new BMW cable to get our iPhone to work.

Update - I've been in contact with customer relations at BMWUSA in New York regarding the missing paddle shifters, iDrive and driver's side power seat. we'll see what they say. so far they acknowledged that there was a "misunderstanding" about the paddle shifters. I replied that there was no misunderstanding, but that all advertising was flat out incorrect - paddle shifters may be a NC option with the M-sport package that has to be special ordered, but that does not make them STANDARD, as listed on the website and my invoice.

They were also unsure of the confusion with the power seat and iDrive... I provided them with the original standard features and options PDF from the BMWUSA site, which clearly states iDrive is standard in all three lines, and where "driver's seat memory and mirror" are listed as standard with m-sport, of which my car has neither since the driver's seat is manual. (unsure why the mirror has no driver's memory - that's power)

in terms of compensation my concern is the devaluation of the resale value of the car missing these items. I ordered the car at the end of June, before the revised standard features and options PDF was released in August which has subsequently (suspiciously) deleted all reference to iDrive.

I'll keep the forum posted on what transpires

thanks for keeping up posted regarding any compensation.

another thing that may or may not be missing are LED tailligths. I though I read somewhere that they are standard, but I didn't see any LED bulbs back there and I did see standard bulbs instead.

Don't forget the chrome tialpipe finishers. They were supposed to be standard in all trims, but mine are satin silver instead (xLine). Note sure what the Sport or M Sport has, but the no line looks like it has the satine silver ones as well.
