Chicago NW suburbs repair shop

Does anyone in the Chicago area have a reccomendation for an independent repair shop. My alternator is dead and I just don't have the time/patience/Know how to try to tackle this myself after reading up DIY in the forum.

Thanks in advance,\

Steve

I used Leight Automotive in Wauconda for the past several years, but the shop is closed due to the very recent death of the owner, Tim Leight. I understand that "The Werk Shop" in Libertyville is very good, based upon the on-line reviews of their service. I have not yet used their services.

Subscribe to Checkbook. They rate all sorts of services, including auto repair by make. You have a Chicago chapter; after you do an on-line subscription, you can browse the articles.

If you can get the car into the city, near McCormick Place:

Willow Automotive
312-881-0101
2020 South Wabash

Brian = Owner
Ashley = office mgr (A cutie)

Authorized Bosch alternator repair center.

Mine went out on the on-ramp going into McCormick parking garage a couple months ago.

He also debugged a nagging steering vibration issue.

He's got 20+ exotics to look at - a Lambo Hummer, a few rare classics, 20+ ducati's
His personal car: 2010 M8

Awesome place, reasonably priced.
