Question...did you replace the trunk pan to get the dual exhausts? If so, how much of an effort was it? How long did it take?

To each his own...I can see this being too much. It was all done for the power though. This will walk on a stock M5. And turns head like you can't believe haha

Freakin awesome man, I need to fit straight pipes to mine and it might be half as loud as yours is!

I would say half the sound is the Eisenmann race and the other half is the headers/cats/3" pipe all the way back.

It was half this loud before doing the header install. It makes a huge difference in sound. I was really surprised just how much when I picked her up after having the welding done.

Oh and I have I dynomax resonator in place of the Y resonator!

Wow that was beautiful, Eisenmann makes a very good difference in sound for any car they're on. Enjoy your beast in the best of health bud

Would you recommend putting straight pipes in place of the y resonator or a performance resonator?

I would recommend a racing resonator in its place and not just a delete. It would be too loud with out the resonator all together.

Thank you!
The engine is newly rebuilt to factory specs so a full tear down and replace of seals, rings, gaskets to get back to factory specs. 205psi at all cylinders. They are OEM pistons and rods though so I don't really want to boost any more than where I am at.

Hello I'm Blessup

I have a european garage located in Barbados , currently we have a 2000 E39 BMW 520i and we are getting a loud viberating rumbling noise sounds like its coming from the drive shaft , flex disc and center mount . We replace all of them but the vehicle is still giving us that noise when it reach 65kmh/mph . however , our technician spoke to one of our germany colleagues and he said to try driving it in Sports , or manual . We did drive it in sports at first , we did not hear the noise when we reached 65mph but after 30 mins of driving in sports we heard the noise but very vague, We then switch over to manual and we didnot experience the noise at all.

I will post on monday sept 17 2012 to say what the problem is .

Thats good to know. I recently did the same teardown of my M62 since my timing guides needed replacing. I was concerned about the bottom end holding up with the added stress of forced induction but this makes me feel better! Lets see those DYNO CHARTS!!!
