Rear Heated Seat Retrofit

Hi all,

We are turning in our x6 on Friday and picking up our 2014 x3. because we got drivers asst plus, we couldn't get cold weather, which also means we couldn't get heated rear seats. on another board, there was speculation about other x models having the components for the seats already in the car, just not the switches. if this is actually the case, I would be interested in retrofitting the switches.

can anyone confirm on their car if the heating coils are under the rear seats? it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Feel free to pull off the leather seat covering on your seats to check. Here are the part numbers for a 2013, which are likely the same for a 2014:

unfortunately I can't lift up the leather covers until I take delivery of the car on Friday. I was hoping to order the switches before hand if someone could help me out by looking. thanks for the parts list.
