Need some advice on a '91 325i

Hi All !

I have just stumbled across your forum after not knowing there was an australian forum for e30 lovers ! great to be here !

ive got a beaten up 323i TC Baur that i cant bring myself to get rid of...but i think needs to go...ive also got a 1990 318is that i love !

im interested in buying a 325i that seems in very good working order...just have a couple of questions. The owner has advised me that it is a 1991 'factory sport' - i know that the 325is was produced until 1990 - was the 325is equivalent in 1991 just labelled 325i and given the same treatment, minus the 's' ? i thought no 325is were officially imported to australia...is there a possibility of this being a personal import ? Can anybody give me some further info about this model ?

the only thing that is keeping me away is that it doesnt have a factory sunroof ! i know you can get a good aftermarket for around 2k but this would be a glass roof - does anybody know where i can get a factory looking - slide within the roof shell - sunroof ? or is it just not worth the hassle ?

There is a site (I haven't been there) that decodes your VIN and gives options fitted and delivery country (ie spec).
Sun roof after factory MASSIVE hassle. If the car is what you want, other than the roof, then take it. A lot of BMW's here are South African spec.
