Help!!!

Hey you guys!

I live in California and I'm having problems getting my 93 525i to pass smog! :/
I have done everything I could think of to get her to pass but no luck so far.
So I have done a full tune up, got a new mass air flow sensor, new cat try and check for vaccum leaks and she's still not passing.
So she Passes everything but HC on idle.
Test results:
HC @ idle: bout 160-200 law: under 100
HC @ 25rpm: 12
I took her to get diagnosed and they told me everything engine wise is running right and there are no codes.

I went thru the same thing and ended up selling my 92 and bought a 90 california car. Mine passed in Nevada with flying colors but not here. I think it is a plot against older cars in this liberal stronghold. I have been told the smaller the business the better chance you have of passing. Try the Main st area of Santa Maria.

yea it must be a thing about older cars that cali has against of haha.
yea i should try that, i mean the last time i took her in she look like she was gonna pass
but after like 35 sec. the HC went past 100, so i just didnt test her and saved 50 bucks.
theres this place in santa maria i saw that said if not pass the retest i free .
haha i should try that!

I havnt done a sea foam test on her yet but i dont think i should do any of that just because i put a new cat on her.
i dont wanna mess the cat up already 0_o

I read that about older imports, there were both california and standard cars. You must have a non-Ca car. You should be able to convert it. Im sure its not worth it. Here 95 and older are exempt from testing, also cars applying for classic or collectors, and hobbiest plates. My advice is to try that. But I'm sure that wont work either.
