Shuddering while driving

I've got a 2007 x3 and new to BMWs. Me and my wife purchased this one recently and it has a shudder when you take off and when you stomp on the gas but when your just cruising it's fine. I've put it in park and revd it up and it doesn't do it and I've also tried to brake torque it just to see if it would do it and it didn't. It only does it when driving down the road and it seems to me that it really only does it when the car gets warm. I've read other forums about this and I've cleaned the maf and changed the plugs and I haven't gotten any codes either. So i'm kinda stuck lol does anyone have any ideas as to what this could be?

Welcome, Cody. How many miles on it? The transfer cases on these cars need fresh fluid about every 50k so that's a good starting spot. You should change this yourself.

Dealer maintenance costs on these cars will run 20 cents per mile, doing it yourself 1/4 of that

Welcome!!

Does it do it only during hard acceleration?

How do you feel the shudder? Through the steering wheel? Does it feel like an engine shudder or a wobbly body type shudder?

Have you checked the engine mounts? Tire pressure? Brake rotors? Vanos solenoids? Tire wear? Wheel balance?

As Abscate said I would start off by changing all the fluids:
Front and rear differential
Transfer case
Engine oil
Transmission oil

Does it do it with the a/c on and off?

It has 129500 miles. I was getting ready to do an oil change and change all fluids. And yes it does it with ax on and off.

No I haven't checked the engine mounts or the vanos. And the tires are basically brand new. And it does it under light acceleration and hard acceleration and sometimes it doesn't do it at all. It's a headache lol

Shuddering as in no power/hesitation? I'd be thinking o2 sensors since it only acts up when warm.

Well it doesn't feel like it's lost all power but maybe a little. It's like the car has a little shake to it for a second when lightly accelerating then it goes away. And when you stomp on it sometimes its more jerky and the rpms studder. It also has a rough idle sometimes when it starts up cold or warm. I'm trying to describe it the best I know how haha so sorry if it's hard to understand.. some days it's better and some days it's worse. I feel like I have a small air leak somewhere? What does it sound like to you guys?

Could be a lot of things, but VANOS solenoids and ignition coils come to mind.

I think I've fixed the problem. I cleaned my vanos solenoids and now the shudder is basically gone.

It may sound strange, but I was having the same problem with a 2006 X3 that I'd bought for my son two years ago. This weekend I bought new tires because it was overdue, the shudder went away. I replaced all 4 tires.
