Who told you sport mode would damage the car? Total BS!!! It will use more gas but will not damage the car. the normal mode is optimized for fuel economy not driving. Put it in DS and drive it.

My cousin had a 2011 BMW 3 series and his his engin or his transmission ( I for got what part it was) but he used alot. And when it got damage he took it to the BMW dealer they told him the ds mode was used to much ...that's why I'm scared to use it.

If you really want to be scared, try googling "money shift". Sounds like you had best stick to your automatic - but having some fun with it in DS mode will NOT cause damage.

Even if it were to cause damage, you are covered under the warranty.
