Drove a Ferrari F430 today

Unrelated to Bimmer's I know but few people can appreciate driving a fine auto as you fine folks. Got to whip a F430 around a track for a bit today, first time ever driving a Ferrari and it was thrilling. I told my wife I have to have one

I was fortunate enough to be allowed to take a 458 around an office park and some side roads. What a car. The throttle response was out of this world and the EPS was razor sharp!

Ferrari's are beautiful cars. However, for the sake of maintenance costs and driveability, go with a Porsche 911.

Spent quite a bit of time driving a 458 around the Bay Area back roads the other week. What a fantastic machine - truly a masterpiece of precision engineering. Total sensory overload, the noise is spectacular and the ride and handling are just sensational. It really does feel like the car is hardwired to your train of thought. Still, I'm a little torn on the styling as for me the 430 is arguably the more beautiful of the two cars. The 458 is a stunning car, no doubt, but you get the sense that function prevailed over form to a greater extent than it did with the 430. Just amazing cars.

Wow! I love how the passion for cars, and it's styling and performance is a very personal preference. I actually have the EXACT opposite opinion. I have had trouble warming up to the looks of the F430 for many years, but think the 458 stallion is one of the most handsome cars Ferrari has ever made. To each their own. Love this hobby.

I agree with you on this one. I've always hated the looks of the F430 and 360 Modena. The 458 Italia is the beautiful design, of course, it is only second to the F355. (IMO, of course)

From a pure looks perspective i like the California. I don't like the front lights of the 458 for some reason.

I'd have to go with the F12berlinetta, the ultimate evolution of the Superfast.
