New Order! 2013 X1 xDrive 28i Sport Line
Hello everyone - I've been lurking around here for a few months as I worked out the final details of my new order... but finally made a decision a short while ago, and figured it must be time to introduce myself...
2013 X1 xDrive 28i Sport Line Deep Sea Blue Black Leather Aluminum Trim Premium Pkg Lighting Pkg Nav Apps + Special Order Shift Paddles (since we don't get them offered normally in Canada) Other cars considered: -X3: more $$ for space I won't use often enough, though I like the interior a lot -F30 3-series Touring: more $$ for a little more trunk space and less ground clearance, and not here yet -Q5: same as the X3, and interior was also really nice -Q3: don't like the styling -Allroad: more $$ and less sporty more stately IMHO -Tiguan: too tall for my tastes, though it seemed like good overall value -RDX: don't know what's happened to Acura, I used to like the idea, but not anymore for styling and motor reasons Other combinations considered: -35i M Sport in Le Mans Blue on Black Leather: could not justify more $$ for more power and less features (no adaptive lights, no auto start/stop, old 6spd gearbox, staggered wheels) when the 28i is easily quick enough for just about any daily driving situation -X Line in Deep Sea Blue on Oyster Leather: didn't want staggered wheel setup (only in Canada) -Sport Line in Black Sapphire on Coral Red Leather: hot look, but too much of a leap for me to take this time around Things I wished were possible: -6MT -Diesels in North America -Oyster Leather in the Sport Line -M Sport Pkg on non-35i models (yes, I know, everywhere else you can do that, but again, not in Canada!) Anyway, I'm looking forward to Euro Delivery in a couple months if the plan all comes together without issue, and also should say thanks to everyone for having posted some great info on options, combinations and things to watch out for... all very helpful stuff! Cheers! |

I didn't realize you folks to the north can't get the M Sport package on the 28i. But the Sport Line looks great, too. I'm sure you'll be happy with it. Congrats!

Believe it or not, not only do we pay a significant amount more up front for the same car than you lucky Americans even though our dollar's been equal to the greenback for a while now, but we also do not see a discount for taking Euro Delivery.
And I'm sure we pay higher sales tax, on average too! ![]() !! |

I believe it, and that sucks
At least you got to pick it up at the Welt and saved money on renting a car in Europe...
