strange problem

i have 2010 X6 35i ....when i floor it hard and keep my right foot for a while bring up the RPM to the redline at the gears..reaching 180Km/h or more.... then after i slow down the car start to shake and vibrate and the rpm drop at idle to 500 RPM and i got message (engine power no more avaliable)..i shut it down for couple seconds start it again and nothing happend !! any idea?

I moved this to the E70 X5 forum, as it shares the same engine and this forum has more traffic. Could it be a HPFP issue?

Thanks for your reply tim, after reading about the hpfp problems i thinks 90% percent it could be from it...i also heard some metal rattle when the car idling .is it the blowoff valve?

Stop reading about 'problems'... You will convince yourself you see all sorts of thing, based on nothing


Get it to a bmw dealer, have them pull codes.


Car service in that area of the world seems to range from cheap and incompetant up to crazy expensive and semi-incompetant....then there is the way people tend to abuse cars (redline shifting, heat, etc) so you have that if it was used....
