Rheingold cable type for 2004 E83

Hello all, I got the link to download the Rheingold. I have a 2004 X3 3.0 I automatic. I have to buckle down and do this. My trans seems to be shifting worse since I have been driving it in manual mode on the highways to keep the engine from screaming at 3300 RPM's from not shifting. After doing the reset gas pedal trick (with no results), I am getting 9-10 MPG. I can watch my needle go towards empty very, very quickly now. I actually thought someone siphoned my gas. Can someone please suggest a known communication cable, and where to buy it, that has worked to reset the adaptations here? I don't want even one slight variable which may contribute to this NOT working for me, thank you very much, Jeff

for that car you are better with INPA and a K++DCAN cable.
