Front passenger door - water leaks inside
Hi,
I've done some research before but I couldn't get a clear answer so I come for help to you. When it's raining or when simply water is poured on passengers side window, it severely leaks inside. Now, that wouldn't be a problem because the water would pour outside through the drain but I will have some serious speakers mounted there (Morel Supremo's) and I don't want to damage them with water. I attached a link to the video i recorded showing this problem. You can see that water slips easily inside and drips especially on speakers mounting ring. You can also see that I have deadened the door but I hardly imagine that's the problem. I also removed weatherstrips to remove glass (for some adjustments) and replaced it. Did I replaced weatherstrips wrong? Could rubber seals in weatherstrips be so worn out that they let through all the water? Or is it normal that so much water gets through? What should I do? Install some kind of "roof" from deadening mats over the speaker, change the weatherstrip, change the seal? http://speedy.sh/nGAfr/VIDEO0014-1.avi Thanks in advance |

Reinstall the vapor barrier. Do a search on this forum. Common problem.

If I do that, that would ruin sound quality. That was the point. To deaden doors and get rid of stock vapor barrier.

Ok, the most important question is - should I replace this weatherstrip with new one or is it normal that it let's so much water through?
