2007 328xi parts availability
I recently wanted to remove my engine cover to clean underneath ( old school neatnik ) as it is easier to spot troubles with a clean engine and engine compartment. I removed the screws and had trouble with 1 screw and it dropped and could not be found. I went to Hesser BMW in Scranton PA for a new screw and rubber grommet or even a package of all the screws and rubber grommets and the parts manager could not find these parts available. They claim you must buy the entire cover assembly to get the mounting screws and rubbers. They are not really sure but that was the consensus at the dealer. Help????? I can't be the only old guy who lost a screw and grommet on this green earth. Any help would be appreciated...thanks in advance Bill Roehl foolish but clean old guy.
