My car made it to the dealer last night.

Landed in NY on 10/5, was released to trucking company on 10/10 and found its way west on 10/18.

My dealer called to say the car is here. cleared customs on 10/10. Will be picking it up on Sat 10/20. He did say there was one from Iowa picking up too in the afternoon

dan74, is that you? I am working with Irv Robinson at Motorwerks.

Car still hasn't left the VPC yet, or even had the recall applied.

Yeah...that's me. I will be there around 10am Sat morning.

Still at VPC also. ED 1-800 number yesterday said I was still in customs, and today my dealer sent me an update that "Work Order started" at VPC. Funny how that happened right after I called for the 1st time. Saturday will be 6 weeks for me. Hope I get it next week.

Congrats, I'm jealous. My update today was 'still waiting on parts'. I'll be the last person off the boat to get his car I think.

Yeah, this also my status. Called right when they closed. The lady was a bit irate, told me that my dealer could provide this as well. But nonetheless, she gave me the exact status, that I just cleared customs today and is at the VPC in the second stage, which I think is 'Work Order started'. I'll be 5 weeks and change now. Hope to get it end of the month as PCD.

We will be there around 11:30

My adviser called me, and my car is still at the VPC, in a backlog of cars that came in around the same time. They hope it will get on a truck on Tuesday.

Picked up the car yesterday 10/20/12

My dealer tells me it made it on a truck today.

I tell you guys, I waited 13 weeks for my 328i between the original order and the reorder. They were very painful weeks but since I got the car about 2 weeks back, it's like those 13 weeks never existed. So, hang in there

GREAT news!!!!! I'm supposed to get an update tomorrow. Hope to hear I'm on a truck as well. Especially since our e36 has decided to act up (major power steering fluid leak). It knows it's daily use is about to come to an end except for autocross.

What does your ship tracking say? I'm still showing Discharged, but both Greg and the ED department tell me that I'm in the VPC as of Friday.

I'm a ship behind, so this isn't good that you're still in it. I don't know what the hell they're doing in Brunswick right now. It's maddening...

Mine made it to the dealership on the 20th, so I was at the VPC for about 11 or 12 days. I still don't have any details on what repairs were done to my car, so I guess I'll try to find out on Saturday when I pick up the car.

Well, speaking of which, just got a PCD date... 11/8! That brings to exactly 2 months, a little over 8 weeks and change. Glad at least I got a date. Whew!!

First off, that is the exact date I requested.

Second off, having a date is all I want in order to sleep well again and have time to plan.

Just called the 1-800 number and my car still hasn't left the VPC. It had no damage when it left Germany, so now I'm concerned that something happened during shipping or customs. The ED people are going to inquire with VPC, and send me an email update, but looks like it will be at least next week until I get my car.

Took delivery yesterday (10/26). Glad to finally have it back!

Car has finally been released to carrier (10/29), so hopefully I'll get my car at the end of the week. If I get it on Saturday, that will be exactly 8 weeks from drop off.
