Remove speed limiter with PA Soft 1.4?

Hello!

I have orderd PA Soft from Ebay for my manual 540 -97. Is it possible to remove the speedlimiter without risk to do any bad programming etc to the car? Is there any how-to guide?

Or is the easiest way på get a performance chip? Is it possible to check if my car already have been software tuned?

Best Regards Kapten Sjovild

Because 155 mph (250 km/hr) is way too slow.

Why use PA Soft when all the BMW stuff is available?
- The most often recommended BMW diagnostic tools & cable interfaces (1)

Does PA Soft do something these others don't? Is it simpler? Easier? Cheaper?

Just curious why PA Soft when most seem to go with the list above.
