The Air Force had a car on the NASCAR circuit a couple of years ago...don't know if they still do.

I think it's black and gold. and then all the other stickers. they use it to promote themselves to folks who like to tinker with engines and what not. Plenty of jobs fixing tanks and half-tracks and what not in the army, so it's probably not a crazy idea for promotion.

I happened by that drag racing last night (I hardly ever watch) and I saw the crash. Wow. It's not surprising the guy died, but it's still sort of a shock to think that it happened. When the car blew up (which it basically did) I couldn't even see the driver cockpit. I thought "what happened to him"? I guess he was still in one piece (more or less) since they took him to the hospital. I was honestly surprised that they even bothered.
