Amazing. Thanks for posting this link. I just returned from NYC Sunday- barely made one of the last flights out of La Guardia on Sunday. It's mind-boggling to see these scenes from where we were walking just a couple of days ago. Give to the American Red Cross- www.redcross.org

Some trees down, power outages, and closed roads in the DMV, but we mostly dodged that bullet. Stay safe everyone!

My friend is stuck in LI - had a Highlander get 4 feet of water overnight, they tried to drive it and an electrical short started a fire and set off the drivers airbag. Yikes. Be careful out there.

Dear friends, with a small child, in Teaneck, NJ....have no power, no phones, no gas.... Thoughts and well wishes for all East Coasters!!! Really devastating!

It's bad up here. Trees down everywhere, poles and wires down everywhere. At the peak 90% lost power on LI and they estimate some parts could take a month to get it back to everyone. We lost power, 3 trees, a fence etc. We couldn't leave the neighborhood- every block had multiple trees covering the road. It's really devastating. Today we could finally get out, I've got the genny running and I was hunting for gas today as I was running low. Gas lines are 50 deep at the few stations that have power AND gas. Virtually no traffic lights except a few here and there. It's ugly, real, real ugly!
