Sears Point track configurations

I was just watching NASCAR yesterday and I noticed that it was at Sears. After watching it a bit, I noticed some of the turns were unfamiliar to me. It turns out they were running in a different track configuration. When they exit turn 3A they don't do the sharp downhill right into turn 4. Instead they go straight. I'm not sure where this other path rejoins the one I'm familiar with. I'm assuming it rejoins after turn 7. Anyway, has anybody ever run Sears in this other track configuration? Just curious as to what it's like.

I don't think any of the driving events run the NASCAR configuration. Turns 4 and 6 are very fun turns!
