I believe the answer is 'Not alot'. The rest of the air flow system is geared to the smaller diameter valves etc so I doubt if any gain would be noticable. You really need the 'i' head and ECU to make any gains.

i think the eta has the same intake manifold as the euro 320i which is more restrictive than the 325i one, though physically they are identical on the outside. i know the 525ee definitely does, but we didnt get 325e here.

if your going to do it, might as well get the bigger manifold and use smoother silicon hoses etc. but at the end of the day its an eta blah blah blah
