You will destroy them on pot holes long before they wear out. ![]() I would think that all things being equal 19s would last as long as 18s. CA

After 7 tires and 5 rims you would too.
![]() After today's storm the roads will probably be totally torn up. The cars are safely parked in the heated garage and when take a car out next we will probably take the 750Lix which is relatively immune to pot holes. CA

Treadwear on the tire not wheel size is what you should look at
OEMs on my SP 18" are Bridgestone Potenza RE050A with a treadwear of 140. Looks like someone put new rear tires on at ~10K miles Currently I have Kumho Ecsta 4X as my winter wheels that have a treadwear of 420 - in theory they'll last ~3x as long Horses for courses. I have a dedicated track car so for the beater E93 will be putting summers with a treadwear of ~300 on when the Potenza's are shredded. Cheaper + last longer and grip only slightly less - totally fine for a street car Oh I see you are in Darien. You'd be crazy to run 19" there. Actually you must be crazy to live there

My E93 is A51 Montego Blue. Gets lot of compliments which may mean it's an 'odd color'. It was bought used otherwise I'd opt for silver to go longer between washing the car. Le Mans Blue is said to be fairly close - will have to watch out for one in the flesh.
