How To Fix This Scratch?

So, I'm a novice at body work. I figure someone here may know more tricks than me.

Some swine **** must have scraped my car in the parking lot at the mall today...
There's no damage as far as dents go...the paint is just scraped off down to the primer.
Please tell me there is an easier way to make this look like-new without having to repaint the whole bumper.

It seems logical to just scuff that one part, spray some paint, and clear that one spot and then sand the edges flush with the old clear, but won't that cause it to flake and look terrible?

Any help is MUCH appreciated.
Thank you.

Hoping for best here...... Maybe it's a black scuff mark?

If it's a scuff mark, take a DA orbital polisher and some compound and try to buff it out carefully. If it comes out, remember to polish the area with mid and fine polish. Then re-protect the area with a sealant and/or wax.

If the paint is chipped, then you'll need a body shop to assess.

That's too bad.
Just brainstorming a bit.....
Perhaps ask a body shop if they'll fix it for $x dollars, because that's what your budget allows.

Determine how much you're will to spend ($x).

Otherwise, the body shop will want to go big on the fix and the price. Maybe worth a try?

Good luck.

Well, I'm half-experienced body man. My grandfather owns the body shop that I work out. I'd be prepping it and having him paint it, but I don't want to go through the trouble of doing everything if I could do something just to cover that one spot and still be done CORRECTLY.
