F10 M5/M6 oil pump issue affect 550/535 models

Since the oil pump recall affects the S63tu engine, how likely is that same oil pump that's found on the N63? Or even N55 for that matter. The M5/M6 and non-M F10s are all manufactured together. Any one have additional info whether the other non-M F10's are affected perhaps BMWUSA is addressing the M folks first due to the availability of the part.

Is highly unlikely. The failure rate on these m5 oil pumps was very high. 9 cars failed within a month of production, many in the first week. Given the relative volume of M5 vs 535+550 we would've had 150-200 engine failures at the same rate. I am sure board members would have noticed if 2013 535 or 550 failures became that common.

You can be sure that the M5 uses a higher capacity oil pump than any of the cooking engines.
