alpina b7 trans

Hey guys. I was wondering if the alpina b7 transmission software is worth trying to flash over to my transmission module to see how it does? Does the alpina have different or quicker shift points or ?

I swear it has a sharper shift, especially when boosting more. There may be some different shift timings because of the supercharger, but I don't know for sure, and haven't read anything to that effect yet. That being said, if you are able to flash it and flash back at will, it probably couldn't hurt to give it a shot.

Thanks keif. I finally got brave enough to flash it and lost the paper that I wrote the file number on. I have looked at about 30 different files on my computer and am having problems finding it again lol. So I'll look for it this weekend and give it a shot if I have 2 flashes left on the egs.

sooo, i finally found the 2 alpina files, one for us and one for euro. i dont think im going to try to flash them being that the files for my module are 882kb and 182kb. the alpina files are 1454kb and 283kb. with that being said, if my module ends up not having enough memory to hold it, ill be in pretty big trouble lol. good news for people with 06 and up 7s is that their flash files are the same size meaning that the modules are the same just different part number.
