ABS light on, Drive moderately message on the screen.

Hi Everyone,

Newbee here. I have 530i M Sport, 2009. Recently had a ABS light came on the dash. Fault check shows two errors, ABS and FTM error. Did the independent diagnostics and it came up with Wheel sensor and Steering Angle sensor error. Changed the wheel sensors, fault light still there. Now gone and done the full investigation and the garage is convinced problem is with the ABS electrical system and there is no fault on mechanical side. He has quoted me 1950 for the job. He will change the electrical system, new ECU and programming. Is this reasonable? Has anyone here had this problem? Can someone please advise what can I do to rectify this problem? I will be selling this car after repair so need the cheapest option.

Thanks in advance.

Try posting the fault codes here and people will be able to better suggest you. In my case it was a bad brake light switch which was causing multiple braking/dtc error messages.
