Tire question

No, not the normal tire questions that get asked over and over again. Hopefully, this is a simple one. I have a set of 17" wheels and Bridgestone Blizzaks that came with my previous Z4 35i as winter tires and kept when I traded the car in on my 35is. The 35is has 19" wheels. Will the 17" wheels fit on the 35is without interfering with anything? Not planning on driving the car in the winter but you just never know what could happen.

I have a 2015 35is with 19" wheels and just put on the 17" aftermarket wheels and winter tires from my old 2006 3.0i and they fit, but just barely, there is about 1/8 inch of room between the calipers and the inside of the wheel but they don't make contact so it appears that is enough room. I also checked the difference in rolling circumference and it is almost dead on. The only question I had was the tire inflation pressures, the old car had 30/33 F/R and the 2015 is 36/44. I went with 35/43 as it seems to be the average pressures for the E89. I just hope the tires don't wear out too fast.

You can try to "test fit" in tirerack's builder. It knows about (most) brake clearance parameters.

Different 17" wheels will have different brake clearance, though.
