Autozone has a direct replacement for 178. And then you have to get it registered from dealer, indy mechanic, or someone who knows how to do it via forum that may want to help.

Mine 730Li manufactured 2006 and original battery since 2005 and still functioning perfectly good. My question should I drive till it fails or replace it since it is now almost 7 years. Which brand of battery is closest to the Original AGM? BMW has given a quote of $almost $700 including programming which I think excessively expensive.
