Luckily we don't have many of those in this section because we all are either married or have a gf etc She'll be treated pretty well as long as she sticks in the E46 section.

Anything bigger than 18 is a hassle. I through aftermarket 19s and there a pain in the ass to replace

You want a car that can't go over a bump or turn at all? The offset on those rims and the tire sizes are horrible haha. I've basically put the biggest rims/tires on a E46 sedan you can without rubbing or having any issues. BUT I did shave my rear fenders off to make it happen.

I just love the look of how wide the wheels are, not necessarily how low it is. I also like the setup on my brother in law's RX-7. His are 18x9.5 I believe.
But my question is(Guess I will look in above thread) what offset should I go with if I am wanting to go with a wider wheel.

Pic of RX-7. DROOL.

Well luckily since you have a ci. You can fit much bigger wheels than a sedan. Especially if you shave the rear fenders off. Nice looking RX-7. Although I've never been to much of a mazda fan lol.

The wheels on that ///M3 as pictured above aren't wide... they poke out because of horrible offset and wheel spacers. It's a stupid look, in my opinion.

My setup...

Front: 18"x8", ET40 (might be ET37... I don't remember off the top of my head), 225/40/18
Rear: 18"x8", ET40, 245/40/18

What tires COULD I fit?

Front: 235/40/18
Rear: 265/35/18

Worth it? No. Tires are expensive. What I have on there is plenty wide enough for the driving I do.

Tire prices are getting pretty insane these days I agree with SPDSKTR. Everytime I buy new tires for eaither of my cars I cringe lol. My setup is 235/35/19 w/ 35offset front and 245/35/19 45offset rear. Here's a few pics. I just realized I don't have man ypics of it from the side completely to see the wheels. But These are the only two that show the size really.

The ci has a wider back end than the sedans.

Thanks. It was hell to make it work though lol. As I said with me I had to shave off the rear fenders. With your Ci you wont need to do that to fit big rims/tires as long as there the proper offset.

225 = Width of tire from sidewall to sidewall.
35 = Height of sidewall measured in percentage of tire width.
19 = Wheel diameter.

Onto my setup. Excuse the dirt. Second picture is the front tire size. The pictures aren't great, but it's a good idea of what to expect.

Bulldinky....you can still see the logo on the center rib....
