F22 / F23 2 Series (2014 - Current) The 2 Series coupe is the replacement for the E82/E88 1 series coupe. Production starts in November 2013 on the 228i (N20) and M235i (N55) coupes. Look for them in dealerships in February 2014. The convertible F23 2 series will follow in the fall of 2014.
BMW has released the specs on the BMW M Performance Auto version of the 1 F20 Series, the M 135i xDrive. M Performance Autos are a blend of M car and non-M that is half way between a 135i and the 1M. It is hard to get too excited about the specs as it isn't likely we will see this car in the US, but a M Performance Auto variant of the 2 series coupe that is coming state side in the next year or so is likely.
If we do get a M 235i xDrive it will share similar engine and suspension details so that is worth getting a little excited about. A 320hp xDrive 2 series coupe would be a screamer!
