Mein Auto: E36 325I
[M50B25 euro specs] idle problem and power loss

Hi,

I have a idle problem, power lost and for sure fuel consumption grow since 1 year now

These problem's coming sometime not all time.

No problem for start.

No catalysor

Things that are made

- new vanos
- new fuel pompe (2)
- new fuel filter
- new sensor engine temperature
- new sensor aac
- new idle sensor
- new spark performance
- new lambda
- fuel circut tested (pression)
- new ring culasse
- Mass Air Flow Sensor work (i'm sure at 99%)
- air filter ok
- coil tested

Idea's ?

Two words: VACUUM LEAKS. Find them, fix them. It would have been far cheaper to start there than to throw the piles of money at the car that you have with no resolution to your problems.

Yes, all of that, and EVERY hose no matter how small. All it takes is one tiny vacuum hose with a crack to throw idle and running off badly enough you'll think it's all sorts of other problems, such as fuel pressure.

Like in my signature says: guessing gets expensive. You've been guessing without any evidence of doing any actual testing, and have, as a result, spent hundreds of dollars/euros on it with no substantial change in the running characteristics. A really good investment would be (1) a Bentley manual and (2) a vacuum gauge.

Ok, i do that.

Another thing, these problem's may come from my kn I57 kit ?

Can i drive without air filter for seeing if there is a difference ?
