New borla cat back exhaust!

Hey guys, Borla came up with a cat back exhaust system for the E63/e64. Looks amazing! I'm so curious about the sound. It has the double canister exhaust. I think I may bite the bullet.

Just as an FYI, the Magnoflow catback is under $1000 on Amazon... last time I looked.

I know, Magnaflow price isnt bad, but I dont think the system compares. I always liked the Borla look and more important, the sound. They use austenitic stainless steel, which is a better grade then the T-409. The exhaust is a double canaster... This looks like it would be classified in the range of the Eisenmann or Meisterschaft caliber.

I just did the Magnaflow install last week and have no complaints, but to be honest if I knew Borla had that setup for my car I would have gone with it despite the price.
I looked into Super sprint and Remus and all were cool but I decided to go with Magnaflow because I have used them in the past and the shop specialized in them.

Say's fitment is M6, nothing about 650. Borla website says no applications for 650.

The 650i is 2 1/4 and the M6 is 2 1/2. A good exhaust shop can make it work!

I would do a little research into how much work is involved in installing an M6 exhaust on a 650.

For starters you will need to cut the bumper to get the dual tailpipes to fit. The exhaust canisters themselves should fit no problem but the mid-pipes may have to be tossed and custom pipes made, not because of diameter but maybe due to different routing of pipes on the M6 - transmission differences etc....

I would send albertoxikitin a PM, he has installed an M6 exhaust in his 650 and I think he did everything himself.

I spoke to one of the guys at Mod bargins and he told me to ditch the Borla and bite the bullet do the axle back Eisenmann... Only a few hundred more. He said the Borla may be stupid loud, where the Eisenmann will give that high end, high pitched sound to match the car... I dont know.

Hi Greco. I saw a few months ago a guy on the M6 forum who is selling a Tubi exhaust....I have seen some videos and Tubi exjaust sounds like hell....pretty good....

Hey Alberto, I would jump on a Tubi exhaust in a second. You know if he is still selling it? Those are top notch... just with a crazy price tag!! I just seen his post... dide is in Kuwait though! lol

Hi Greco. Yes i have M6 exhaust but the are just the mufflers not the complete line. You can install them...but the only thing is the M6 mufflers have the pipe a little bigger thant the oem pipe. but you can use a reduction pipe. I hope its help...

I wrote a private message to this guy asking about the price but he never aswer me....You can see on youtube some tubi exhaust videos....Also the M5board member Whateheck has Tubi exhaust installed....

The Eisenmann exhaust will definitely give the car a more refined deep and throaty note that belongs on a BMW. You'll also going to get something that fits the car without any fitment issues!

Come on... You gotta put a group discount for the eisenmann's for the boys on the forum!!! Lol. Somewhere around $2000 !!! You can do it!!!

FYI: M6 mufflers will sit much further out when installed on a 645/650, as there is a difference of several inches in the bumpers. Additionally, you'll have to widen the openings for the muffler tips to accomadate the quad tips. IMHO:This can be done to look right by a professional shop, but its far more involved then simplie bolting some aftermarket M6 mufflers in place.

Check out the fitment of a 645 with M6 supersprints, this is not an ideal fitment/out come.

I have complete M6 body kit so my mufflers sit right....

I guess it may be best to go with a 650i muffler then. Eisenmann makes one with the round tips. I like the oval ones though, but that may only come on the M6 version.

I saw some videos about Eissemann on M6s and is the best sound i ever heard...
