Price Check CPO 2010 335i X-drive with 700 miles

Titanium Silver, no sport pkg/prem

Upgraded stereo, not sure of other options atm.

The car was bought by an old lady for her son, who had 3 other cars and just left it in a garage. So its practically brand new with only 700 miles.

An xDrive? In Hawaii ??

So, what's the rule of thumb - 20% decrease from original value once it's used?

Yeah in Hawaii, the prices are a little higher. Or did you mean the X-drive wouldnt be used much in Hawaii? Probably true, but it does rain a lot.

i dont think a car with 700 miles can be cpo'ed. IIRC, minimum of 6000miles to be eligible to be cpo'ed

I wouldn't get the car just because of the standard seats!

Actually I checked with the dealer and it does have the premium package, so power seats and dakota black leather.

The dealer is CPO'ing it atm, he did say something about CPO'ing it with such low mileage though.

Just curious what the reason would be not to CPO it until 6k miles?

I'd actually be more concerned with the fact that is has ONLY 700 miles. That car has not been driven much, obviously. In my experience, cars that sit for months at a time or longer are more problematic than cars that get regular use. Good luck.

Decent point, especially in a seaside environment. I had a relative on Cape Cod who just parked a car in the garage for a couple of years. Went to hell and gone with rot and mice.

So you think it wouldnt be a good buy? I would be covered for another year on mf warranty and the CPO for another two. The low miles are appealing, but you think its a downside? I dunno what to do.

It can be. There is an either/or requirement. Must have more than 6,000 miles or more than six months in service.

If it passes the CPO inspection I would be pretty satisfied with that. However, we did have a member recently who bought a freshly CPO'd 3er only to find out within hours after the purchase it had wiring damage caused by rodents that went undetected. I would insist on an extensive inspection beyond the CPO requirement.
