Airbag Light

Here's the deal. I had to change the drivers side exterior door release cable and disconnected the battery before proceeding to removing the door panel and the airbag and sensor.

After reversing the procedure, the airbag light stays on all the time now. Is there a reset procedure?

Sorry, I did the exact same thing . Got to take your Z to Stealership and they will charge you to reset it. I got charged $75.00 Some Stealerships charge more. I would call and talk with the service manager and see if you can get a fair price. Good luck !

Buy a Peake SRS tool and reset it yourself.

eBay has the tool for 45 bucks. I haven't bought it yet but I plan too very soon. Very curious as to if it works right.

I looked high and low for a reset tool for the Z4. I even sent peake an e-mail asking if they made a air bag reset tool and was told not for the Z4. Good luck.
