ATTN M60 owners!
If you haven't recently tightened you oil pump bolts, do it asap! I did mine willy nilly last year and today the pump started to smash against the lower oil pan. The noise it makes is unmistakable, it's the sound of catastrophic failure. I just did mine - again, and used blue threadlocker to keep them torqued and in their holes, rather than bouncing around on the pan.

Shouldn't be an M70 problem, never heard of it happening before

Hey Costa,
How hard of a job is it? I need to check mine out. Do you have a part # on the gasket for the oil pan? Sent from my SPH-M910

The majority of the time you're waiting for all the oil to drain. It's a fairly simple job. Took me about 2-3 hours to do it, and I cleaned and loctite-ed all the bolts and made the pan look brand new again inside and out. These are all the part numbers you need. The other two gaskets are for the oil level sender

I tried to tighten mine the last time I changed my oil pan gasket, but could not for the life of me figure out what bolt(s) to tighten. Do you have any more pictures to post of your DIY?

Unfortunately I didn't take any of my oil pick up/pump because it was sort of bent from banging around on the pan and I was really mad about that

You can see the bolts pretty clear.. don't simply tighten everything. Feel if anything is loose with fingers and then tighten it. You don't want to overtighten anything that touches the pump.
