I already did on the way to Strasbourg. the car is a beast

btw I think you're driving to Paris right? I don't know what's your route but avoid the A8 if you can there is a ton of construction going on... not that many unrestricted sections due to it...

Enjoy your car, she's beautiful.

Congrats on the beautiful new bimmer. Have a great trip!

I hope to hear how the "Liber-T" toll box works out for you that you mentioned a month or two ago.

Let's just say that I haven't followed the break-in "recommendations" exactly so far.

No problem on the pics. I can zip them and dump them on my web server if you prefer.

We are in Ettal near Garmish for the night before heading to Lauterbrunnen tomorrow. I hope that your trip is continuing to go well.

I can say that the 155 limiter is BS. The car is limited to 210km/h. Which is not cool as that is well under at just 130mp/h. Not sure why this is.

I think you get the speed limit bump only when you get summer tires. All seasons gives you the 130 mph limit.

The problem is I did get the summer tires. I live in Los Angeles. No need for All Seasons. And the invoice flat out says top speed limiter 155. Unless there is a cap for the first 1500 miles and everyone here on the forums that says they test out the Autobahn are full of it, something fishy is going on.

Not BS - something is amiss with your new ride. Not sure about the new configurations of 3 series but the E46's and E90's had to be equipped with a sport package and summer rubber to get the 250 kph limiter.

Why do you jump to the conclusion other 'Festers are "full of it" - what an attitude

Hmmm... I know I hit the limiter in the Autobahn. But then again, already passed break in mileage at that point.

I did 155 mph with my 2013 335i Msport equipped with summer tires during my ED. It had around 1000 miles on it at the time. So its not BS.

+1 to that. I hit 155 as well 3 weeks ago during ED. And I only had 600 miles at that time.
