Will having ASS reprogrammed to remember last state delay delivery?

After a nearly 11 week wait, I'm expecting delivery of my 328i next week. It's been way too long already so I don't want to wait any longer than I have to. I would like ASS reprogrammed to remember last state. If I ask the dealership to take care of this before delivery, could delivery be delayed by a day?

Maybe, maybe by a day. It doesn't have to.

The recode only takes 90 minutes. The delay beyond that is your service department getting permission from BMW corporate to do the recode. They take your car, they file a PUMA, they wait hours for BMW to authorize.

Speak to the manager of your service department and see if he can pre-clear you for the process before the car arrives. In that case it wouldn't delay your long-awaited delivery.

I'm thinking about it in my retirement years. Get to work with beautiful cars, get to mingle with the beautiful people, get to go on test drives in M cars, pull some pocket-change fun-money for bingo night. Not a bad gig.
