Xenon lights retrofitted
I own a new BMW 328i. I regret not getting the optional Xenon lights. Is it possible to have it retrofitted and if possible, would it be at the same price?

This has been discussed many times. The bottom line, I believe, is that "yes" it's possible, but requires substantial rewiring and is quite expensive, as in multiples of the original price.

No one that I have seen has reported retrofitting the Xenon's. But all reports point to it being very costly.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but:
For the MY2013 328i, it is only 900 dollars as selecting Xenon does not require premium package. For the MY2012 328i, it is the Premium package which is 3600 plus the 900 dollar required for Xenon, which turns out to be 4500 for xenon. This is the reason why I didn't do it. Retrofitting Xenons: 1200x2=2400. I have not had the urge to retrofit Xenons and have not contacted my dealership. I would recommend the OP shop around, contact multiple dealers, see if he can get any better offer. Even if it's 1000x2 for Xenon is still a good deal if this includes parts+labor. |

Yeah, to each his own. I'm saying I didn't need or want comfort access, leather, folding dimming mirros, so the price for me just was not worth it. Hopefully the next time I buy another 3 series (long time for now) Xenon or the next flavor of the month, will come standard.

There are several ways to do it. The "plug and play ones" are essentially the same as wiring a short into your electrical system .... not something I'm a fan of.
The "proper way" Involve using OEM parts and having the car coded, but the important thing to remember is that (as far as I know) you really can't retrofit the piece that makes them tilt up and down depending on the angle of the road/car.

The word "there" can appear as a pronoun, as in “over there". "Their" is a possessive pronoun. In a phrase like “Susan and Bill's car,” it could be used to to make a new phrase: “their car.” ”They're” is a contraction of “they are.” “They are” should always be able to replace “they're.” Extra credit: It's "I'm looking for an M3" not "I'm looking for a M3". |
