323 to m3 side molding conversion
Hey recently replaced the oem side moldings on my 323 to the flush m3 moldings but they're not fitting in close to the door help

I assume you purchased aftermarket/imitation moldings? They have known fitment problems, which you may eventually have to take up with the seller. That aside, are all the clips seated correctly on the trim and in the door?

Yeah some **** off of eBay but every one who does the conversion buys these I suppose . I'll have to find some one parting an M3 out

I have those and can't keep some of them clipped in place. Even replaced the clips with OEM and they still pop off. Yes the holes are original size/location.
I went with used regular trim pieces and have had no trouble with them attaching and staying attached.

yeah the aftermarket fitment is poor...but i got them anyway as i have plans on 'modding' them.
one of those 'when i git round to it'....things..... df

I wonder if one could use a heat gun to "persuade" them to fit a little better.

I had aftermarket ones and no bueno. Bought oem ones from ecs tuning and muy bueno.
