Castrol 0w 30 question

Not to start another oil thread, but does anybody use it for their x3? I usually buy mobil1 0w 40 but I saw that the castrol was LL-01 approved and decided to change things up a bit and buy it. Now I'm worried it's too thin.

As long as it meets LL-01 you're good. There is technical discussion on the net as to why a 0W-30 and a 0W-40 both meet the spec, at the chemical level. Don't worry so much about the weight.

You're fine, and the Castrol 0W-30 is definitely not too thin. I've used it on my X3 and the 325i for years.
