Duplicate Keys

For those of you that have had duplicate keys made for your car, how much did the dealership charge you? I inquired with a Service Advisor today and he quoted me about $450!
He told me that because I have the comfort and convenience package, it will cost more. How much did my fellow BMW enthusiasts pay for your extra key?

$450 is about right. That is what it was about 2 years ago. I received a 50% discount from the dealer who sold me the car since it was for the missing second key and he replaced the missing plastic insert key (fitting the plastic holder in the glove box) for free.

I guess that by having the Comfort and Convenience package, the price for the key, jumps up quite a bit.

450 is correct unless you have a hookup at your local dealer.
