Bluetooth malfunction - HELP

Re: X5 2006. BT was working fine wt my HTC incredible 2. Phone book did not sync but that was ok with me. Typically I turn off BT once in house and activate phone when in car without problem. One day got in car and phone would not connect. I tried everything. Resetting phone. Turning off and removing battery. I then noticed that BT appears to be disabled in the car. The tele button not fuctioning. Can't get to activate phone prompt. Checked fuses seemed to be ok. Eveything else is working radio all the panel lights, etc. is there a way to enable the BT or check anywhere else?

I don't know but I'm having the same issue with mine. Just picked it up 2 days ago and it was working and now... Bam. Done. Not working.. Hopefully someone responds..???

I was told that it may be the telematic control unit. Will need to take it to dealer. Bummer

Here is what I found also: Might save you some $$ if your handy. (See last link) It allows you to find the TCU unit and disconnect the power to it. Might reset it?

Any News to your issue...Update?

Bluetooth working! Located and unplugged TCU as instructed. Did not work right away. Wasn't sure if needed to be in 1st on ignition or car on. Tried both - nothing. Started process over again but also checked fuses again Looked at fuse panel # 7 in glove compartment and rear panel fuses #72 and 73. They all looked good so put them back. Feeling defeated i connected the TCU back started the car YES! Activate phone was there. Huge smile. Thank you
