Help with usb flash drive music

I nedd help to configure why my music are cutting off while playing from the USB DRIVE.

if anyone can please help with some ideas will be preciate.
I have a 2.0 8G PNY FLASH DRIVE. I load a few songs WMA files the song play but cut off every minute. I;m not sure why and how to fix it, or is it possible to fix?

the drive was already Formated to default FAT32 I didn't change it.

please help

does it do it with mp3s? or with a different drive?

well I didn't try MP3 FILE yet but I will try I never though of trying a different drive. I will go try both a diferent drive & Mp3 file and I will def let you know. thanks for replying...

I'm using a 32Gb PNY stick with WMA. I had some strange problems the first time I loaded it, where the car would stop recognizing songs. I reformatted and reloaded all my songs, and it's been perfect from then on. You do need to leave the stick in for a while with the larger drives so the car can index the files. You might just try reformatting the stick and reloading the music files.

I'll do that. should I reformat it to FAT32? or to something different. I did left the stick in the USB port since 3days ago I never remove it...

Hi, just got my '07 335i. Where is the USB port? Is it near the Aux IN jack? If so, I might not have this option.

Left side of panel behind glove box door is the one for loading music. Inside the center console is the one for playing direct from USB if your vehicle is so equipped. If just an AUX jack, you probably don't have the 6FL option.

I use to have one also I don't think they come with that option, the 2007 is the first generation body style, and yes its suppose to be next to the AUX IN JaCK....

Ok, no USB there. I don't have it I guess. There's no mention of USB in my manual. It's an early build '07 - November 2006.

i dont even have the usb and mine is an '11. got the cheapo stuff.

I just formatted mine to FAT32. I don't know why it was flakey the first time I tried, but it's working great now.
