iOS 9.2 reintroduced bluetooth bug

When listening to audio from an iPhone over Bluetooth, there used to be a bug which meant it was sometimes necessary to switch to Radio then back to Media to get the audio playing. This was fixed earlier this year, but I am noticing it is back after I upgraded to iOS 9.2.

Anybody else noticed this?

In the case of any Bluetooth anomaly, I would normally reboot my iPhone, which has for the most part, fixed the issue. Sometimes when I get a notification on the iPhone screen from any app, it momentarily mutes my streaming music, then goes back to normal volume. In some cases the volume does not resume or music stops altogether. Then I reboot the iPhone.

I've learned my lesson many times when it comes to "if it isn't broke, don't fix it"

Software, especially operating systems, are incredibly touchy these days when it comes to little things.

I know that IOS 9.0 works just fine for the way I use my phone with my car hence I never update to these "blah" versions that claim bug fixes and other "improvements" nobody ever uses.

My best advice would be to revert software versions

I've noticed the same bug.

What's great about iOS is you can't revert

I hate the fact that my 6S+ has already downloaded 9.2 and keeps asking me to upgrade. I say no and don't remind me, but it reminds me everyday. I guess I'll go ahead. I never stream music, just answer the phone. I use a 32gb usb drive with all my music.

If you decide not to update, you may miss out on some of the latest security patches. Everyone has their own tolerance for risk, though.

I'm with dwlink. I was just beginning to think 9.1 was old enough to be safe, and was getting ready to 'upgrade'. Now I have to wait for 9.2 to get the bugs worked out before I'm willing to install it.

Dunno... it was never fixed for me. Sometimes I have to toggle back and forth a few times.

Rebooting phone fixed this, now working fine on iOS 9.2, thanks to those who suggested this solution.
