My new Titanium 50i arrived. Love it.

My former daily was a 2010 X5///M.

Loved it for awhile, then tired of the rough handling. Power was great, but lost on me as I really only drive the X in the rain, snow and/or with the family on-board.

I was considering a brand change, then drove the 50i with Adaptive Drive. Loved it... Much, much better ride IMO in both comfort and sport mode than my ///M, so I ordered this M sport/M Performance version. 8 speed trans is a nice improvement, as-are the comfort seats. No cheapo 'carbon leather' option, so I went bamboo. I'll post pics of the interior later.

The BMW cross rails are adequate, but whistle above 70mph. For me, not a big deal as they will be on the X maybe two times a year.

So far, I love it. I don't love the dealer hack trailer hitch install, but it's nice to have a hitch again.

Beautiful except for the hitch. If I had the Msport package, I'd definitely opt for a hidden hitch

I considered that. No time to fart around with it. I'm leaving on a trip in a couple days.

Wow gorgeous, I rarely see M Sport X's, and I see quite a few X's out here in Southern California.

what tires did you get? Also did you car get built with self leveling suspension? I am curious to hear your feedback about the ride quality with adaptive drive. Smooth and level over potholes/bumps?

Duelers. Yes, with Adaptive Drive. Ride quality is great - very supple over bumps.

Nice! Like the hitch as well. An X5 w/o an OEM hitch just looks like something is missing. Splashguards for those MN winters?

I know you don't, that's why I posted what I posted. Most any other thin skinned person on this board would of been offended.

Enjoy your ride Sir.

Mounted our Yakima Rocketbox 12 (cubic feet capacity) on BMW cross bars (base system).

A little whistle above 70mph, but can barely hear it with sun-shade closed.

Solid as a rock for 400 miles at up to 90mph.

(mounted slightly off center due to the placement of the little wind spoilers that were attached to the BMW cross bars. No worries -looks fine.)

16.8 mpg on our trip up north - with a cargo carrier on the roof and bikes behind on a hitch mount.
