Three unknowns:
1. what general condition is your 528?
2. Service history and recent work on the 323
3. Why are you looking to trade?

The picture of the 323 looks good, but unless the 528 has some big problem coming, I'd rather keep the 528 - particularly if you need to give up a good car plus cash for one with an unknown service history.

For $5700 I got a '01 325i with cold weather pkg and leather with 90k miles, plus brand new tires and great inside/outside condition. Only needed control arm bushings. BTW - thanks to the board for suggesting the Meyle HD CABs from oembimmerparts. My mechanic said they are the best he had seen.

IMHO, the engine in your 528 is better than the one in the 323. And I hate to see any BBS rims painted. They were gold back in the '70s and '80s; now everyone paints them black.
