Newbie to the Seven: Is this a good deal?

I currently drive a 2011 535ix and I have three months to go on my lease.

I was recently in for service and the dealer gave me a brand new 2013 750Lix as a loaner.

Words can not describe how much I liked the Seven over the Five.

While the 750Lix is a little too large for my purposes (its too long), the 750ix is not.

I was recently quoted this deal on a 2014 750ix from my dealership:

2014 750ix
MSRP: $99,525
Sales Price: $92,550 (includes $2,000 in rebates)
Inception fees and taxes up front: $6,200
Monthly Lease Rate: $1,122/month (36 month lease)
12,000 miles per year
57% residual value

I have never shopped a Seven before.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this deal?

Get with a forum sponsor, there is still money on the table. 10% off should be accessible. These cars are in the last several years till we get the G11 redesign - not in high demand. To give you a comparison point my terms are (96k sticker/36mo/10k/3k down/987.xx per month with 8% CA taxes included)

I too feel the same, I had a '12 Li and for me it felt a little too cumbersome and incrementally harder to park. Parking that thing on the streets of downtown LA was a PITA; parallel street parking, tight behind/side building spaces, underground garages yikes! The car is fantastic whichever length you get.

PS Make sure you get the rear parcel wood shelf otherwise we'll be forced to heckle you as an imposter knock-off 7 owner. Just look at Rajeek and his Kia look-a-like! Not fooling us Raj!

Good luck!
Chris

I'm sure there's always a better deal.
Try shopping the same configured car to a few of the board sponsors.
If they have a killer deal, you can always order through them and do a Performance Center Delivery.
I would look into doing the max security deposit route if you can as well in order to lower the MF on the deal.

Good luck.

+1 with the security deposits, I think you can do up to 7.

If you put money down and the car gets totaled, you lose it all. Tell me about it, I had to learn the hard way. This time around I maxed out the security deposits.

Newbie to the Seven: Is this a good deal?

You can take over my 750 hybrid lease for much less than that payment and has a much smoother start stop system. It is probably less than your 535i payment too!
It will allow you to try the 7 out for a short period and see if you really like it. I love it!

Figure that one out, and you get to join the club.

It was a meant to be taken as a joke.

There's been ongoing heckling going on regarding the lack of a rear wood shelf (RWS) on the 7 series, when optioned with the Fineline Wood trim instead of other trim options.

I think it's safe to say that roughly 90% of threads on this board reference the RWS.

That said, you'll find that we don't take ourselves too seriously on this forum. That is, unless we're dealing with a fake BMW imposter such as Rajeek. (Give it up man, we all know it's a Kia!)

In all seriousness like DBV said we're just messing around. With the fine line wood you don't get a wood trim piece behind the rear passenger headrests. That's it haha - We jokingly consider 7's without them kias.

I would have absolutely LOVEEDDDD to have been there when you asked about the RWS accessory!!

Keep us updated on the hunt and eventual purchase of your new 7, and a review between your 7 and 5 experience!

We need to strengthen the RWS shelf club, those Kia imposters are lurkin' around trying to steal our women/men and eat our cake...

I am pretty much decided on a 2014 750ix (white exterior with M sport & saddle interior), provided that the price is right and provided the dealer throws in the RWS & floor mats for free!!!

All kidding aside, I would have liked to see more responses to whether the numbers being quoted are fair.

P.S.: I do think I am worthy of entry into the Seven Club. I am the creator of "The Dot" thread, which is one of the most popular threads on Bimmerfest of all time.

I would take a look at invoice, and add $500 to it, that would be a fair price, especially for the 2014 model. You might want to hit up one of the sponsors and see what they can offer you, Jon Shafer or Greg Poland come to mind, see what kind of numbers they give you? I'm not sure if BMWconfig is up for the 2014 7's...

The dot thread... I've heard fabled stories of such a thread... That was when posting to this forum was uphill and against the wind, in 6 feet of snow...

I have heard alot about Greg Poland over the years. I reached out to him. He was very responsive, but interestingly his price was higher than that being quoted by my local dealer. Also, there are added costs if you deal with Greg. You have to pay a boat load of cash to ship the car to where you live, or, you have to find your way to the Performance Center (which also costs money plus your time).

That's interesting, how far off was he? In my case my local dealer ( BMW Riverside ) rudely scoffed at matching his offer. They treated me like I was low-balling them unrealistically and taking food off their tables at home. Either way as long as you're happy with the deal go for it. There are some on here who paid close to MSRP and are happy. If you have the money to spend its all yours

I drove into Manhattan today, went to the BMW dealership, and I registered for the $1,000 rebate so that I can use it with the lease of my new Seven. We are getting closer to having a deal. Lucas, if you are reading this, you need to include the tire and rim insurance!

My buddy at work just picked up a 750Li with a $102k sticker $5k down, $1025/mo including tax - today. 12k mi/year, 3 year lease. It's a pretty decent deal, but it's a 2013 model. Dark Graphite Metalic, with all the driver assistance pkgs, exec pkg, 303 wheels, M Sport pkg, cold weather pkg etc.

He bought it from Crevier.

You should be able to get bangin' deals on the F01/02 models, as the new body will be out next year this time. BMW is pushing surplus bodies like they are going out of style right now.

Personally, I can't see how they can outdo themselves with this latest 7er. It's the best one yet. I had all the models since the 2000 body which was an iconic body style that Audi copied and still has kept in place for their A8 model, to date. Had the ugly Bangled butt version in 2005, then the 2011 F01, and now the 2013 F01.

Hope this helps...

Good luck ...

Same type of story. When I just got my Hyundai w/o the RWS, I went to my local dealer who we have bought from in the past. Not only could he not match the offer I got, he said that my dealer was undermining the Hyundai name by going so low on the price. Hahahaha. I let him know my wallet appreciated it's extra thickness and I would be buying elsewhere.
