87 325 Rumbling noise from rear

I have a rumbling noise at the rear that only lasts for about 2-3 seconds when I accelerate from a stop . Wheel bearings? I dont think so, It seems to be in the middle( diff area )

Center support bearing on the driveshaft.

I would agree with checking the center support bearing. Also check for worn bushings to make sure that the differential isn't moveing causing the noise.

Deff csb I have the same prob. Just rebuild your driveshaft an get new bearings. Should cost around 500 if a shop does it with labor.

thanks , I'll have a look , at he driveshaft. I was afraid it was the diif or cv joints
