For Sale: 20" Staggered Summer Tires

We are about to take off our stock performance summer tires that came on our 2012 X5d, Dunlop Sport Maxx Run Flats, and replace them with all-seasons from here on out. I was thinking of selling our Dunlop's if anyone wanted them. By the time they come off they will have just over 5K on them.

They are staggered for the 20" setup. Front 275/40/20 and Rear 315/35/20. They go brand new on Tire Rack for $1936. Asking $1200 OBO plus shipping. Will be available for shipping in October. Let me know if you're interested and we can talk details.

Thanks,
Jason

Post up the tread depth, inside, middle and outside, on each of the 4 tires...should help interest.

And yes, if you are in italy as your location states it will eliminate US customers!

The tires would be shipping from the US. I am a military member stationed overseas, so we have the benefit of having our things shipped to the states by military air, then we only have to pay for the domestic shipping. I believe the main hub for APO (military) shipments is in NJ. I just ordered some tires myself for my other car off of Tire Rack and shipping for the four tires was less than $100. So it's the same as shipping within the US. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I will post up some pictures of the tread, thanks. Sorry for the confusion on the whole Italy thing, being US military shipping will not be a problem.

Pictures

Here are some pictures I just took today. We have just under 5,000 miles on them. Tread looks brand new still, as you can see much of G. Washington is still covered. Will be taking them off the first week of October. Let me know if you have questions.

Very cool to know about the military shipping thing actually...did not know that. Tires being almost indestructible, I'd have no qualms.

Good luck with the sale.

Price Drop $800 OBO

Tires are still available, and in good shape. Only have used for 4 months and 5,700 miles.

FWIW I just paid Town Fair Tire $1,400 to replace my 20" OEM Dunlop RFT's with 20" OEM Bridgestone RFT's. That price included mounting, high speed balancing, TPMS rebuild, disposal of the old tires, 4 wheel alignment, road hazard warranty and sales tax.

The Bridgestones are better tires than the Dunlops in every respect, and they are BRAND NEW. With the way the Dunlops wear, at 5,700 miles you've use up about a quarter of their treadlife. I think you will be lucky to find a buyer for $800, plus shipping, mounting, balancing, disposal, etc. Your best (only?) hope is to find someone ready to turn in their lease. (BMWFS charges $400 per tire if you return the X5 with balding tires).

Sorry.

FWIW I also paid America Tire only $910 for a set of four 20" TOYO's STII 275 & 315 staggered. That price included mounting, balancing, TPMS re-install, road hazard lifetime warranty, free flat repair and sales tax.

The tread is amazing, like 1/2" deep, tires are super smooth and they're good for at least 45K miles... I won't be buying any other tire brand for my X5 from now on...

I'd recommend investing few euros in a tire depth gauge. Mileage/coins mean nothing; I've seen 20 in Dunlops w/12K miles that were pretty much done.
